Former Bafana Bafana defender dies following stabbing
Former Bafana Bafana defender Jeffrey Ntuka (pictured during the final of the 2009 Vodacom Challenge match between Kaizer Chiefs and Manchester City) has died after reportedly being stabbed in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The incident happened in a local nightclub in his township of Kroonstad in the Free State province.
Kickoff.com said that the troubled former Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United player -- a product of English giants, Chelsea -- may have been stabbed after a brawl.
Ntuka, 26, had five Bafana caps.
He joined Chelsea in 2003 as an 18-year-old but did not make a first team appearance.
In 2009 he joined Kaizer Chiefs for two seasons, and last season he played for SuperSport United.
